    Theif in the night

    Save the loan industry.
"Struggling homeowners who can't afford their mortgages and banks facing big losses would get government help under a foreclosure rescue that has broad bipartisan support.

The plan is headed for Senate passage Friday, but faces a bumpy road, with the House planning a rewrite and the White House threatening a veto without major changes.

With the last procedural hurdles scaled Thursday, the package was on track for resounding approval in the Senate. "

FHA is going to back 300 billion in new ,fixed raate loans? For people who already flopped? Can you figure out who really is covered here?
Penalize stupid people seeking loans, but what to you do to the group that loaned them money? Stupid people can't get a loan without a stupid lender. The borrower might be able to get by with a high school education, but what about that guy with those 4 years at a college? Somebody should know better, or pay the price. If they bail this bunch out, anyone that wants a loan should get one with these terms.

    Re: Theif in the night

I blame the the people who got these loans that didnt take to the to read the fine print and see that the teaser rates that the loan company was advertising was jut going to be there for a couple of months or years then they were going to sock it to them with an astronomically high rate. The public was just to stupid to realize that, and you see where that got us now. I really dont blame the companies on this one. They were just trying to make a buck. What I can blame is the people who were not educated and just to lazy to look at the fine print. They have got to realize when the deal seems to good to be true, then it almost always is....
